Data Display Settings

The Data Display Settings are the settings that are directly related to the data results on the front end of the bloc.

Choose the data view you would like the results to appear as

Hidden (Show Nothing)

Completely hides the results section.

Table View

This is the default view and outputs the data as a normal data table style.

List/Block View

Displays each entry as a single bloc of data (useful for low number of entries with lots of fields)

Calendar

The Calendar is currently available by default on the front end. It displays your data in a calendar based on the date it was entered.

You can however set a Primary Calendar Field which allows the data to be sorted by the dates in that field.

Coming Soon: A calendar-only view with a more powerful calendar with data of your choice embedded right in the day. For example, you will be able to choose that you would like "Field 1"s data to appear as an item. This will allow you to build your own various types of calendars.

File View (Coming Soon)

The File view will change how the data is layed out entirely, much like the "Primary Calendar Field" option above, we will be able to set a "Primary File Field" and the data will be layed out by icons of files with the ability to hover or click on it to see more data associated with it. This will be a poweful tool as each file will still be able to seem like a piece of data entry, while the bloc will essentially server as a file manager.

Kanban (Coming Soon)

The Kanban view give you the power to lay out the data as a Kanban View, allowing to move data entries "Left" and "Right", where each column will represent a value in a field. For example, currently you could create a field called "Project Status" and change the values of this using a dropdown. Instead you will be able to pick the field which is serving as the column options, e.g. a field called Kanban Columns with values "Start", "In Progress", "End".

Gantt Chart (Coming Soon)

This is currently in investigation and research and we will publish more information as soon as the criteria of this data option have been set out.

Show previews of uploaded images in data

By default, using the File Field, if you upload an image, it appears a clickable link with the file name in the data. Using this setting you can view the image inside the data instead.

We are currently considering making this the default view. All users will be notified in advance of this change.

Reverse Data From Oldest to Newest by Default

Currently in the front end, it is possible to reverse the data to see it from oldest to newest. To have this set by default then choose this setting.

Hide User ID

By default, when the data is taking up the full width of screen, the username of the individual who entered the data appears. This option hides this.

We are currently considering making this setting the default setting. All users will be notified of this change.

Hide Time Stamp in Data

Removes the time stamp from the data when the data is in full width view.

Currently in the Bloc front end, it is possible to show the links to allow you to edit. This setting makes these always appear.

Reduce space and font size for data results

This setting tightens up the space and reduces the font size in the data.

Set the default number of results to show

Currently you can decide on the Bloc front end how much data you would like to see. This setting allows you to set this by default.

Choose Colored Cells in Data

You can decide the colours of cells in the data based on specific values. This is especially useful for flagging issues or just getting a quick view of specific entries without having to filter.

Coming Soon: An option to have the whole row coloured based on a value in the row.

Update the number of fields that can appear in the results

You can set the number of columns/fields that show in the results. The default is 5. This is useful for tidying up your form. See the next option for understanding how to move fields out of your field number limit in order to hide it.

Change Order

Note: This Field order behaves completely independantly of the orders set out when building the form inside the elements. However the natural order that is created initially is set by the order of which you created the fields.
